The Odontoglossum Alliance has donated to the American Orchid Society The Robert B. Dugger Trophy, given annually to an Odontoglossum or hybrid with Odontoglossum in its parentage, exhibited before the AOS judging system. The award, bestowed for the first time in 1996 (for a plant judged in the previous year), honors a leading hybridizer in the field of Odontoglossums and other Oncidiinae. This award is one of 10 special honors bestowed annually by the AOS judging system to plants, flowers and growers of exceptional quality.
